Marilyn Rose Sandy, 86 of Lima, passed away July 19, 2021, at 11:13 AM at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Marilyn was born January 19, 1935 in Lima, to Harvey and Blanche (Harrod) Lusk, who preceded her in death. On June 27, 1954 she married Jesse Sandy Jr., who preceded her in death on September 13, 2009.

Marilyn was a graduate of Allen East High School and a homemaker. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Lisa Gossard; son, Douglas Sandy; grandchildren, Corey (Emily) Sandy, Brittany (Austin) Loper, Andrea (Joe) Payne, Bradley (Rachel) Gossard, Stacy (Jeff) Niece and Kayla (Joel) Llewellyn; 17 great-grandchildren, special daughter-in-law, Trena Sandy and daughter-in-law, Carol Sandy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Michael Sandy and son-in-law, Maurice Gossard.

Private funeral will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
