Marie E. Miller, age 94, passed away on Sat., July 9, 2022, after a brief illness.
Marie was born on December 31, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late John and Alvena (Groeber) Gray.
On December 10, 1943, she married Solomon (Skip) Miller, who predeceased her.
Marie loved music and dancing. She especially loved following her grandson, Doug’s band, the Indoorfins, and spent many New Year’s Eves (her birthday) wherever the band was playing. She loved her Sunday visits with grandson, John, and always said the two of them had a lot of good conversations.
Gram enjoyed traveling to Columbus for holidays and birthdays at the home of her granddaughter, Rita, and on the way home, always said “It’s been a good day.” She had good memories of grandson, Jeremy, living with her while attending school. She slept with granddaughter, Beth’s, picture on her nightstand.
She also loved her trips to Muncie, IN, where she and Skip lived for many years, for birthdays and baby showers for grand, great, and great-great grandchildren.
Marie is survived by children, Debbie (Jim) Briggs, Jacquie (Pat) Beall, and Lisa (Jeff Thornton) Dickerson, all of Lima, OH, as well as daughters, Donna (MJ) Miller and Beverly (Mike) Miller of Muncie, IN., grandchildren, Rita (John) Volpe, John (Cindy) Druckemiller, Beth (Jeff) Kriausky, Doug (Rhonda)Druckemiller, Jeremy (Tracy) Druckemiller, Jimmy (Angel) Briggs, Michelle (Brittney) Diskey, Mike (Nichole) Lowrey, and Sarah (Steve) Bodily, great-grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Isabella, Lia, Giana, Emma, Nicholas, Oscar, Ian, Ashlee, Tara, Jessica, Nicky, Caleb, Joshua, Ashley, Tiffany, Kayla, Nathan, Makaela, Raven, Damien, Domanick, and Braden, and many great-great grandchildren, as well as a sister, Angie (Clyde) Williams.
In addition to her husband, Marie was predeceased by two grandsons, David Briggs and Dana Druckemiller, her oldest daughter, Gale Stinson, and son-in-law, Al Stinson.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
