Lydia Mae Johnson (Sista), 74, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 9:00 pm, in Lima Memorial Health Systems.

She was born April 13, 1948 in Florence, AL, to Charles and Roxie (Williams) Johnson who preceded her in death.

Survivors include: Lakita (Wesley) Wells, Edward JaQuay Johnson, Emmett (Erica) Johnson and Eric Johnson all of Lima; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Charles (Ella) Johnson, Jr., Nettie Johnson-Childs and Greg Darby all of Lima.

She is preceded in death by a grandson, Shaheed Johnson.

Lydia had been employed by Mary Ann Brown and Bradfield Center, where she taught culinary classes. She loved to cook and spend time with her family, especially on their Friday night get togethers. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was baptized at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Davenport, where she served on the Ushers Board.

Services will be held at on Noon Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Eastside Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. until Noon in the funeral home.
