Lori A. Holtzapple-Riley, 60 of Lakeview, passed away May 15, 2022, at 1:35 pm, Cleveland Clinic.
Lori was born July 1, 1961 in Lima to Byron and Vellezetta (Zeta) (Allman) Holtzapple, who preceded her in death. On July 22, 1983, she married Jeff Riley, who survives her in Lakeview.
Lori was a 1979 graduate of Elida High School and worked as a server at Ike’s for over 30 years and a lunch lady at Apollo for over 20 years. She was a member of Wayne-Goshen Community Church of the Nazarene and she was a wonderful cook. Lori loved walking her dogs, sipping American Honey and going on mini road trips with her “favorite daughter”. She loved people and life; she never knew a stranger. Most of all, Lori loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Erin (Travis) Edmiston and Adam Riley; step-sons, Jeffrey Riley, Jr. and James Riley; grandchildren; Jayde Newport, Kamden Edmiston, Jayla Edmiston and 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn (Harold) Hamilton and Carol (Tom) Doll; brother, John (Rita) Holtzapple; sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Barry) Miller and Judy (Stewart) Clark; brother-in-law, Jim Riley; many nieces and nephews, whom she adored and her dog, Tipsy.
In addition to her parents, Lori is preceded in death by her brothers, Kenny Holtzapple and Donnie Holtzapple and her dogs, Lucy and Chesy.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on May 26, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Pastor Pamela Spencer to officiate the service.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
