Lois A. Edgington,76, of Cairo, passed away at 2:43 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at her residence.

She was born on October 27, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Eloise (Wheatley) Keith, who both preceded her in death. On September 4, 1965, she married Robert Chane “Bob” Edgington, who preceded her in death on January 29, 2023.

Lois was a graduate of Bath High School, where through the years she volunteered for many of her kids events. She also volunteered for 25 plus years for the Salvation Army. She enjoyed sewing, baking, camping and fishing. Lois also bowled in many area leagues. She was a longtime member of the Lima Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to collect teddy bears and was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Surviving are her children Kimberly “Kim” Edgington of Cairo, Robert “Rob” (Carol) Edgington of Lima, John “Tony” (Michelle) Edgington of Bluffton and Brad (Tina) Edgington of Marysville; her thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Barb Longbrake of Elida.

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Gary Longbrake.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 2:00 PM.

Interment in Cairo East Cemetery will immediately follow the services at the funeral home.
