Linda Ellen Gonzalez, 73 of Lima, passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at 5:35 am, at CareCore of Lima.

Linda was born Nov. 28, 1947 in Chicago, IL, to Florentino and Belva (Louis) Gonzalez who preceded her in death.

She adored her grandkids, loved to dance and have a good time. She had worked at Honey Bear Ham Company in Chicago, Milanos, Airfoil Textron, Sundowner Inn, Odd Lots and Big Lots.

Survivors include her children: Teresa Marie (Pete Mares) Gonzalez of Lima, Kimberly Dawn (Mark) Woten of Wapakoneta and Christopher Michael Gonzalez of Lima; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and the following siblings: Sharon “Betsy” (Donald) Ferestad of Sandwich, IL, Shelly Macklemore of Little Rock, AR, and Neal Huerta of IL.

She is preceded in death by a son, Anthony Lawrence Gonzalez, a brother Florentino Gonzalez, Jr., and two sisters, Athena Gonzalez and Debra Honeycutt.

Services will be held Friday, Jan. 29, 2021 at 5:00 p.m., at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, with Pastor Josh Tissot (of First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta) to officiate the service. Visitation will be from 2:00 until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers/gifts, a monetary donation box will be available to help with the funeral expenses.
