Larry K. Fetzer, age 83, passed away November 14, 2022, at 5:37 am, at the Meadows of Delphos. Larry was born July 5, 1939, in Delphos, OH, to Herbert E. and Ruthella P. (Bodkins) Fetzer who preceded him in death. On November 23, 1967, he married Patricia A. (Kiggins) Fetzer who preceded him in death on December 5, 2014.
Larry is survived by his children: Scott A. (Christine) Fetzer of Elida, OH, Kelli (Chris) Art of Russia, OH and Amy (Donnie) Chiles of Elida, OH, 8 grandchildren: Denny (Linda) Fetzer, Cory (Jeni) Fetzer, Mindy Fetzer, Andrew Art, Rebecca (Trent) Dreer, Peter Art, Bryce Chiles and Carly Chiles, 3 great grandchildren: Bradley, Micah and Miles, a brother, Jim (Tina) Fetzer of Clearwater, FL, 2 sister in-law: Joyce Kiggins and Delphia Kiggins both of Delphos, OH.
Larry had attended Lima Senior High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. Once he returned home from serving his country he began working for Teledyne Ohio Steel where he held many positions. For the bulk of his time he was a was a crane operator in the scrap yard retiring in 1991 after 30 years of dedicated service. Larry was a huge fan and supporter of his Alma Mater. He loved running the scoreboard for the Lima Senior and L.C.C. football games. Larry was a longtime coach for youth summer baseball programs and midget football programs in and around Lima.
There will be a funeral service held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Pastor Cory Fetzer. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery following the service.
Friends may visit on Thursday from 6-8 pm and then again on Friday one hour prior to the service at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lima Senior Athletic Department. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
