Larry C. Knick , age 80, passed away at 2:12 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center with his family by his side.

Larry was born June 23, 1941 in Piqua, OH, to the late Roy C. and Thelma (Sargent) Knick. On April 17, 1968 he married the love of his life Regine C. (Chipot) Knick in Dampierre-les-Bois, France.

Larry was a 1959 graduate of Bradford High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Larry had previously worked at Hobart Brothers Manufacturing in Troy, Ohio. Larry worked in the insurance industry for over thirty years as an adjuster, having worked for Indiana Insurance and Westfield Insurance, retiring as a self-employed life, health and annuities insurance agent. He was a former member of the Rubicon Masonic Lodge #237 F. & A.M., Waterville, Ohio. Larry’s hobbies included guitar, electronics, photography and working together with his wife in their flower and vegetable gardens. He also loved to travel, whether short trips with his wife or vacations with his family. He was a man of great faith and had been a longtime member of The Worldwide Church of God, Findlay where he had served as a Deacon. Over the years, he enjoyed coaching and playing in the church softball and basketball leagues. He was currently an active member and volunteer of Crossroads First Church of God, Lima. Most of all, he loved spending time with his entire family. He cherished his role as “Grampy,” the term his grandchildren so lovingly called him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Regine C. Knick of Lima; three daughters, Sylvie R. (Robert D.) Walk of Solon, Audrey R. (John M.) Laux of Toledo and Elizabeth F. (Stephen A.) Dye of Lima; five grandchildren, Knickolas Laux, Christopher Laux, Isaac Dye, Heidi Dye, Avigail Dye and; his beloved dog, Ralphie.

Services celebrating Larry’s life will be planned in the near future. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington, OH.
