Kerry Gene Danner, 55 of Lima, passed away May 27, 2022, at 10:25 AM at his residence.

Kerry was born July 4, 1966 in Lima, to Tobias and Dorothy (Bowsher) Danner; his father precedes him in death and his mother survives him in Lima.

Kerry is a 1985 graduate of Lima Senior High School and he worked most recently at Dana Corp for 16 years; he previously worked at Honda in Anna for many years. Kerry was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and he enjoyed going for walks at Schoonover Lake. He enjoyed listening to classic rock and he was a very easy going father, son, brother, grandfather and uncle. Kerry enjoyed spending time with his family; they meant the world to him. He will be loved and remembered, as well as deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his mother, Kerry is survived by his children, Karlee (Zachary) Kohler and Kevin Danner; grandchildren, Drezden Kohler, Audree Kohler and Zander Kohler; siblings, Karyl Corson, Karen Hensley and Keith (Tammy) Danner and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Danner and brother-in-law, Jerry Hensley.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 3, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES – SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM & Friday, June 3, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
