Kent M. Betts, age 46, surrounded by his family passed away October 20, 2021, at 6:30 pm, at the Lima Memorial Health System. Kent was born January 19, 1975, in Frankfort, Germany to Michael L. and Pamela S. (Martz) Betts. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Lima. On October 31, 2008, he married Cassandra R. (Engle) Betts who survives in Lima.
Kent was a 1994 graduate of Bath High School. He had worked in landscaping and also in construction. He loved hunting, fishing and tinkering around the house. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife and mother, Kent is survived by his 2 brothers: Eric R. (Theresa) Betts of Columbus Grove, OH and Timothy L. Betts of Lima, OH, his nieces and nephews: Jasmine Betts, Dylon Golden, Timothy M. Betts, Hannah Betts and Hunter Betts. He was preceded in death by a niece, Hailey Betts.
There will be a memorial service held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
Friends may visit on Tuesday from 4-6 pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
