Kenneth L. Dye, 64 of Lima, passed away August 13, 2021, at 5:45 pm, at The Springs of Lima, surrounded by his loving family.

Kenny was born October 25, 1956 in Lima, to Floyd and Phyllis (Badertscher) Dye; his father preceded him in death and his mother survives him in Lima.

Kenny was a 1976 Lima Senior High Graduate and a proud United States Navy veteran, serving on the USS Cleveland. Kenny had worked at Randall Bearings Inc. for over thirty years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Kenny loved cooking and baking; he was wonderful at it. He loved to watch sprint car races and spending time with his family, especially his brothers and mom.

In addition to his mother, Kenny is survived by his brothers, Timothy Dye and James Dye; step-son, Douglas Stumbaugh; step-daughter, Sarah Stumbaugh-Hanes; special great-nephew, Gaberiel Blue; several nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Ramona Everett and sister-in-law, Delores Dye.

The Dye family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at The Springs of Lima and Putnam County Hospice; they were tremendous.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Dr. Doug Boquist to officiate the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 and again from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Hospice.
