Kenneth “Ken” C. Harrod, 96, passed away on December 3, 2021, at 2:36 pm, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
Ken was born October 18, 1925 in Waynesfield , OH, to Paul and Marguirete (Graham) Harrod who both preceded him in death. On August 31, 1947 he married A. Corrine (Keve) Harrod who preceded him in death on June 27, 2009.
Ken graduated from Lima Central High in 1943. He lettered in football, basketball and tennis during his high school career. Ken then graduated from Ohio State University in 1947. He was the Executive Vice President and Director of Sales with Randall Bearings Inc., where he served on the Board of Directors. Ken was a member of Market Street Presbyterian Church where he served on the Session and the Board of Deacons. He was a life member of Lima Convalescent where he served on the Board of Directors. Ken was also a life member of Lima YMCA, Lima Elks BPOE 54, the Fort Amanda Masonic Lodge 706 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, OH. Some of his hobbies included: playing golf, tennis and racquetball. He thoroughly enjoyed watching and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Ken cherished his wife Corrine and loved his children and grandchildren dearly.
Ken is survived by his children, S. Lynn Harrod Goodwin of Grove City, OH, Kevin (Joyce) Harrod of Lima, OH, grandchildren, Jennifer (Bryan) Bueter of Grove City, OH, Justin (Erin) Harrod of Painsville, OH, great-grandchildren, Audrey, Brayden and Jayson Bueter, Brinley, Hadley, and Keve Harrod, sister, Janet (Jerry) Symonds of Seattle, WA, many nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Fran Vertuca of Lima, OH.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Carl (Lois) Harrod.
A private family Funeral Service will be held with Rev. Kenneth Chorle to officiate the service.
