Kelley L. DeLong, 62, died at 9:19 P.M. November 30, 2021 at St. Rita’s Medical Center from COVID-19.

He was born November 15, 1959, in Lima, Ohio to Ralph A. Sr. and Shirley M. DeLong who preceded him in death.

Kelley was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a member of the Lima Seventh Day Adventist Church as Head Deacon where he was actively employed in serving the Lord’s mission there in many capacities. He was a prayer warrior and firmly believed in the power of prayer. Kelley was a 1978 graduate of Lima Senior High School and he served in the United States Navy from 1979 – 1983. So many people were blessed by his many talents as a skilled HVAC Technician, plumber, painter, carpenter, builder, electrician, machinist, mechanic, roofer, but most importantly the Best Papa ever!

Survivors include daughter, Amanda (Jeremy) Krueger, Grandson, Jaxson Krueger, Granddaughter, Addison Krueger, all of Oregon, Ohio, 9 siblings, Judy (Harold) Nickles of Lima, Jeannie Harp of Kenton, Ronald (Beverly) Hornaday of Martinsville, Ind., Carol Vann of Broadway, Va., Kenny Hornaday of Kenton, Janice Agler of Van Wert, Ralph Jr. (Hope) DeLong of Cridersville, Steve (Susan) DeLong of Eagle, Idaho, Tami (John) McCoy of Lima; many nieces, nephews, church family and special friends, Rodney, Tasha, Kurt and Joe.

He was preceded in death by brother, Glen DeLong and sister Cathy Westenberger.

Keeping with his wishes there will be no public viewing nor service. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers there is a GoFundMe account set up where memorial contributions may be made to help offset expenses.
