To Karroll's family, condolences from me and my wife Kim. We always asked for Karroll's section at Red Lobster. She was a special lady. I always got a little extra 'alfredo sauce' on my crab alfredo thanks to Karroll. But what I will remember most is the she loved to talk politics and Presidents with me. In my job of doing TV news we had wonderful, lively conversations about politics and the country's leaders. She was always gracious and sweet and I always knew exactly where she stood on an issue. We had some good laughs. To her family, again, our condolences. I come across so many people in my profession, but Karroll is one of those people I will never forget.

She said, “I'm Karroll with a 'K', and I'm the best cook in town! That was over 14 years ago. My husband and I had just moved to this area from out of state, and a visit to Red Lobster was needed respite from the work and emotional upheaval of relocating. She wasn't just a good waitress; she was funny, personable and delightful. Although we only patronized that restaurant a few times a year (I'm a good cook, too!), we usually asked for her by name. She spoke often and lovingly of her family, and seeing her was always a treat. One time we went there during a busy time and couldn't sit in her section, although we asked for her. It wasn't a problem, as we had very good service. Shortly into our meal, however, she came to our table to see us briefly. If everyone embraced Karroll's work ethic, positive attitude and friendliness, the world would be a better place. Rest in peace, Karroll.
