Karen M. (Stauffer) Shindeldecker, age 65, was called into the presence of the Lord at 10:45 pm Friday, August 13, 2021, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Karen was born July 13, 1956 in Lima, OH, to Cloyne W. and Florence (Lusk) Stauffer. On March 3, 1973 she married the love of her life, Robert D. “Rick” Shindeldecker.
Karen had attended Allen East High School. She was a retired Safety Director, having worked for Fluor and freelanced for Spallinger Millwright Co. Inc. Karen enjoyed gardening, attending concerts and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert D. “Rick” Shindeldecker of Harrod; daughter, April M. (Wayne) Twining of Lima; grandson Robert Drew Helms of Lima; granddaughter, Karlie M. (Kyle Kirkendall) Helms of Lima; brother, Phillip W. Stauffer of Harrod; sister, Sandi J. Kruger of Lima and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Stauffer and two sisters-in-law, Donna Stauffer, Mary E. Stauffer.
