Judith “Judy” K. O’Day, age 72, passed away on January 25, 2023, at 9:10 am, at the Lima Convalescent Home surrounded by family. Judy was born December 29, 1950, in Lima, OH, to Paul Maxwell and Annette Mae (Whetstone) Ladd who preceded her in death. On September 21, 2000, she married Donald O’Day who preceded her in death on September 9, 2011.
Judy is survived by daughters: Katina (Vaughn Phillips) Coleman and April Fair both of Lima, OH, 7 grandchildren: Dominic Phillips, JeVaughn (Taylee) Phillips Sr., Q’Vonte Phillips, LaTosha (Marquel) Houston, Alyssa Jennings, Trey Fair and Caitlynn Fair and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandsons: Nathaniel Phillips and Marcus Phillips, a great granddaughter, Azaylia Rogers, a brother, Darrell (Ursula) Ladd and a sister, Nancy (Joseph) Fitzwater.
Judy had attended Lima Senior High School. She was a homemaker and a mother to many neighborhood children. Judy like doing arts and crafts, and will be remembered for her interesting cakes that she loved decorating.
Arrangements are incomplete at this time, however a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist the family with funeral expenses. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
