Judith “Judi” A. Young, 70, passed away November 30, 2022, at 4:38 pm, at the Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center. Judi was born February 20, 1952, in Lima, OH, to Norman D. and Virginia L. (Clark) Baer who both preceded her in death. On August 25, 1973, she married Richard “Dick” L. Young who survives in Lima.
In addition to her husband, Judi is survived by her son, Brandon Young of Lima, OH and daughter, Angela (Rick) Folz of Lima, OH, 5 grandchildren: Victoria (Casey) Norris, Parker Young, Drew Young, Jackson McDonald and Alix Young, 3 sisters: Linda Haggard and Emmadean (Nick) Parlapiano both of Lima, OH and Ginnie (Mike Litzau) Baer of Richmond, KY. She was preceded in death by a brother in-law, Rick Haggard.
Judi was a 1970 graduate of Allen East High School. She spent her entire career as a jeweler with Roger’s Jewelers where she worked for 27 years. Judi was an avid sun worshipper, pool lover and decorator. She also loved crafting, attending her grandchildren’s events, shopping and most of all just spending time with her family and friends.
There will be a funeral service held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jim Baker. Entombment of cremated remains will be held in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
