Joseph N. Lombardo, 75, of Lima passed away surrounded by his family at 10:57 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on July 15, 1947 in Lima to Angelo and Eve (Howard) Lombardo, who both preceded him in death. On July 15, 1975, he married Linda S. Miller, who survives in Lima.

Joe was the owner/operator of Lombardo’s Cafe, Lima. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and an active member of Buckeye Cruisers and regularly attended car shows around the area showing off his ’57 Sierra Gold Chevy. Joe liked to fish and enjoyed singing Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra songs. He was a jokester and a comedian, was a friend to everyone and never knew a stranger. Above all he loved his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife Linda S. Lombardo are his children Jill A. (Dan) Lucke, Joseph (Kate) Lombardo, Marc (April) Troy and Amanda Sites, all of Lima; his grandchildren Alek, McCormick, Carrigan and Jillian Lucke, Michael, Daniel, Angelo and Caroline Lombardo, Autumn, Austin and Ashlyn Troy, Nathan Lotz, Braden, Carter and Nolan Sites; his thirteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother Frank (Tracy) Lombardo of Lima, his sisters Judy (Lanny) Haruff of Toledo and Sis Camper of Tucson, AZ and his previous wife Joyce VanHorn of Lima.

He was preceded in death by his brother Louie Lombardo.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATIONS SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL, with Father David M. Ross officiating.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all the Mercy Health Hospice nurses and aides for all their help and kindness.
