Joseph Christopher Daily, age 56, of Lima went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 7:18 p.m. on January 29, 2022, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. He was born March 6, 1965 in Lima to Cheryl L. (Crider) Daily and Roger Bailey and was later adopted by his step-father, Charles L. Daily.

Joe was a 1983 graduate of Arlington High School in Arlington, Ohio. On August 1st, 1987 he married his best friend, Laura (Schneer) Daily at Monticello Church in Monticello, Ohio. Joe had been employed with Graybar Electric in Lima for the last 25 years, where he made many friends and extended family. He also had been employed at one time as produce manager at Clyde Evans and had also worked at Sam’s Club for several years. Joe had been a long-time member of Calvary Church in Lima. He loved the Lord and tried to love others the way the Lord loved him. He never knew a stranger and was always kind, loving and caring with a willingness to help others in need. Joe was well known by his friends and family for his sense of humor and as a major fan of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, classic comics and most anything science fiction. He enjoyed watching the Seattle Seahawks with his sons and was also a fan of the Cleveland Indians. He loved classic cars, traveling to car shows and especially enjoyed his Pontiac Fiero and Dodge Truck. He had a big heart for animals and had several (Sheba, Pepper, Shivers, Maggie and Oliver). Joe loved his family so very much. Being a husband, father, and grandfather were his greatest honors. His granddaughters were his pride and joy and he loved going to their dance recitals and church events. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Surviving Joe is his beautiful wife, Laura Daily. Children Amber (Josh) Clawson, Joshua (Jamie) Daily, Justin Daily, Ariana Daily and Jacob Daily. Also surviving are his siblings Bryan (Leigh) Daily, Bruce (Katie) Daily, Steve Daily, Scott Daily, Jeff Bailey, Chuck Daily, Angela (Robert) Thorp, Dorothy Bailey and Karen Ryane. His mother-in-law, Rebecca Rase as well as sisters-in-law, Christina (Michael) Kingery and Carrie Wappelhorst, Special Aunts, Gloria (Larry) Schwartz, Jean Ringwald and Kathy (James) Adams. Grandchildren Jorryn, Gracelyn, Emelia and Madison; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cheryl L. (Crider) Daily, Charles Daily and Roger Bailey, as well as his uncle Dick Ringwald and nephew, Brendan Daily.

Visitation will take place from 5pm-8pm on Monday February 7, 2022 at the Chiles Laman Funeral Home – Shawnee Chapel. On February 8, 2022 there will be a visitation at 11am with the service starting at Noon, also at the Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Daniel Hub will be officiating the service and burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
