Jerry R. Gephart, 75, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 6:45 PM on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at St. Catherine’s Manor of Findlay.

He was born on May 7, 1945 in Lima to Richard and Juanita (Sampson) Gephart, who both preceded him in death. On April 7, 1978, he married Judy Ann Armstrong, who preceded him in death on December 15, 2014.

Jerry was a tradesman who worked for multiple area employers and retired as a transport driver for Auglaize County Council on Aging. He was a member of the VFW Post 1275, the American Legion Post 96, the Eagles Aerie #370 and the Moose Lodge 199. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, golfing and watching NASCAR and John Wayne movies. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving are his daughters Kimberly (Ed) Kennedy of Columbus and Jeri (Dan) Downard of Lima; his son Richard Gephart; his five grandchildren; his nine great-grandchildren; his brother Bill (Linda) Gephart of Lima.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL, where funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM.

Father David M. Ross will officiate the service.

Interment will follow the service in Gethsemani Cemetery.
