Jeffrey Ray Boudrie, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 16, 2020, at 11:24 am, at his residence.
Born, December 17th, 1935 in Toledo, OH, Jeff learned from a young age to overcome adversity and lived a very full life. He started his career in the grocery industry, later transitioning to a very successful career in radio and tv advertising. Jeff raised two families, loved to travel, golf, watch football, offer “advice” and most of all fish. After retiring, Jeff spent many weekends “directing” teenagers not to park on his yard, telling stories of his past and hassling his neighbor/son-in-law just for fun.
Jeff is survived by his first wife, Roberta “Bobbie” Boudrie and their 4 children: Brent (Jody) Boudrie, Bill Boudrie, Buff (Todd) Karn and Dee (Terry) Quickle all of Findlay, OH. Jeff is also survived by his second wife, Sue Moon of Russel’s Point, OH and his 2 step-children: Teri (Craig) Mutchler of Columbus, OH and Debra (Brian) DuVernay of Harrod, OH, 10 grandchildren: Jeremy (Kim) Boudrie, Danielle (Randy) Scifers, Stuart Perez, Robert (Tasha) Perez, Terry Lee (Codie) Quickle, Terra (Nick) Wheeler, Emily Mutchler, Laney Mutchler, Mason DuVernay and Alexandria DuVernay, 8 ½ great- grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Joyce Boudrie of Indiatlantic, FL, his best friend and close companion, Phoebe Sewell of Greenwood, IN and his “fur baby”, Sadie. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Boudrie.
In following with Jeff’s wishes, there will be a private Celebration of Life and scattering of cremated remains held at a later date. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Westminster, OH Rural Fire Department, The James Cancer Center @ OSU Hospital and Mercy Health – Hospice, Lima, OH. The family has entrusted the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL in assisting them with funeral arrangements.
