Jean M. Schroeder, 83, passed away on October 3, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Jean was born July 13, 1935 in Defiance, OH, to the late Paul and Leona (Kuhlman) Mangas. On July 20, 1957 she married Frank W. Schroeder who preceded her in death on May 6, 1993.
Jean graduated from Holgate High School. She was a life long member at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Jean worked for Yokum Reality and CCR and was known for being one of the top realtors in Lima and that was one of her greatest achievements.
Jean is survived by her cherished companion, Paul Shenk of Lima, OH, children, Dan (Suann Hosler) Schroeder of Lima, OH, Tom (Melissa) Schroeder of Columbus, OH, Mike (Mary) Schroeder of Wheatfield, NY and John (Carrie) Schroeder of Cincinnati, OH, brother, John (Wini) Mangas, grandchildren, Devan, Matthew, Maxton, Charles, Allyson, William, great-grandchild, Charlotte Schroeder, brother-in-laws, Mark (Norma) Schroeder of New Cleveland, OH, Earl (Jeanette) Schroeder of Glandorf, OH, Steven (Helen) Schroeder of Atlanta, GA, Vincent (Mary) Schroeder of New Cleveland, OH and Louie (Jane) Schroeder of Chicago, IL, sister-in-laws, Marilyn (Bob) (d) Ruhe of New Cleveland, OH, Evie (Mike) Milano of Chicago, IL, Pat (John) Bennett of Lima, OH Sister Paulette Schroeder of Tiffin, OH and many nieces and nephews.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Schroeder, sister, Pauline Wank, brother-in-laws, Vern (Dolly) (d) Schroeder, Father Denny Schroeder, Paul Wank and sister-in-law,Phylis (Carl) (d) Rieman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:30AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Father Dennis Walsh officiate the service. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be Friday, October 5, 2018 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM & 6:00PM to 8:00PM at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL HOME, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
