Janis M. Grady, 75 of Liberty Township, formerly of Lima, passed away February 15, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Janis was born August 14, 1945 in Ypsilanti, MI, to Edgar and Mary (Bish) Dickerson, who preceded her in death. On February 10, 1968, she married Thomas Grady, who survives her in Liberty Township.

Janis was a 1963 graduate of Beaverdam High School and attended The Ohio State University. She worked as a clerk for Allen County Children Services until she retired in 2008. Janis was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Janis is survived by her children, Eric (Margie) Grady of Shelbyville, KY and Erin (Troy) Kehr of West Chester, OH; grandchildren, Jacob Grady, Katelyn Grady, Connor Grady, Ailenda Grady, Nathan Grady, Grady Kehr, Gracie Kehr and Jackson Kehr; great-grandchildren, Leo Grady and Naomi Grady; brother, William (Lila) Dickerson and her sister, Lana (Jack) Gallo.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Edgar Dickerson, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Sugar Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastor Mike Huffaker to officiate the service. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be Friday, February 19, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
