Janet L. DePalma, 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep at 6:25 pm on May 29 2022 surrounded by her children.
Janet was born September 16, 1935 in Lima, OH, to Louis and Rose Naples (Diglio) Daley who both preceded her in death. On November 29, 1958 she married Anthony “Sonny” DePalma who preceded her in death on January 28, 2012.
Janet was a homemaker she loved playing bingo and occasionally going to casinos.
She is survived by her four children, Tony DePalma of Lima, OH, Daughter, Patty (Ron) Solinski of Hilton Head, SC, Son, Bob DePalma of Lima, OH, Son, Tom (Donna) DePalma of Powell, OH, five grandchildren, Leda (Kerger) Truesdell, Vincent, Nathan, Gina and Nick, one great grandchild, Francesca Truesdell. She is also survived by one brother, Louis (Renee) Daley, one sister, Patricia (Don) Crouse, three sisters-in-law, Ruth Daley, Sharon Caprilla and Marilyn DePalma.
Along with her husband she was proceeded in death by one grandson, Frank DePalma, five sisters, Clem Musto, Nena Sarno, Mary Treglia, Annie Stanovich, Rosie Thorpe, three brothers, Alphonse, Ferdie and Tom.
She is also survived by over one hundred and twenty five nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 2:00pm at St. Rose Catholic Church. Father Dave Ross to officiate the service. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 12:30pm until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Allen County, 3606 Elida Rd, Lima, OH 45807.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at The Wyngate Senior Living Community for their excellent care given to Janet over the last six months.
