James R. Hill, age 83, passed away February 25, 2021, at 8:05 am, Elmcroft of Lima

He was born August 4, 1937 in Grayson, KY, to Hazel Hill who preceded him in death. On Mar. 2, 1957 he married Rita Taflinger who preceded him in death on Dec. 6, 2010.

Survivors include their children: James A. Hill and Dianna J. Downing both of Lima; grandchildren: Joshua (Amber) Luma, Justin (Pam) Luma, Jami Reynolds and Jared (Caitlin) Hill; great-grandchildren: Gina (Max) Wilson, Ethan Luma, Alisa Luma, Amara Luma, Kendra Luma, Justin Reynolds, II and J.J. Luma; and one great-great-granddaughter, Zendaya; a sister, Cheri Lones of Jenera, OH and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, brother William Hill, and a grandson Justin Reynolds.

Mr. Hill worked at Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant for 40 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, camping and loved his family greatly. He raised Irish Wolfhounds for ten years.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at 4130 Stewart Rd., Lima.
