James Lewis “Jim” Johns, age 57, was called home to the Lord at 12:29 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2021, at his home.

Jim was born October 20, 1964 in Lima, OH, to Donald and Rosetta May “Rosie” (Lawrence ) Johns.

Jim was a graduate of Bath High School and the Apollo Career Center. He had previously worked for Bath Schools. Jim enjoyed word search puzzles and watching Old Western Movies.

He is survived by his mother, Rosetta May “Rosie” Johns of Lima; sister, Rosemary (Michael Carder) Nichols of Delphos; brother, Paul Duane (Janie Lones) Johns of Lima; five nephews, Roy (Tabitha) Hale of Dupont; Justin (Roblyn) Isaacs of Lima, Steven Nichols of Lima, OH, Damian Gleason of Lima and Jacob Traucht of Lima; five great-nephews; three great-nieces; aunt, Barbara J. Ramlow of Elida and two Uncles, Russel Lawrence of Lima and Rev. Don Donnal of Lima.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald I. Johns; sister, Janet Cummins and several aunts and uncles.

Memorial services will begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Pastor Joe Compton Jr. will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, prior to the service at the funeral home.
