James Kelley Webb Jr., age 45, went home to be with Jesus at 11:00 am Friday, February 5, 2021, at his home with his loving family by his side.
James was born April 12, 1975 in Lima, OH, to Rev. James Kelley and Brenda K. (Ferguson) Webb Sr.
James was a 1993 graduate of Temple Christian High School. He worked as a Journeyman Electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #32. James enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2004, and proudly served our country for ten years. During his ten years of service he served two tours in the Iraq Campaign. In July of 2005 he was awarded Honor Graduate in Field Artillery Fire Control and commended for his superior performance. He then used this expertise to serve his last four years as a Field Artillery Fire Control Instructor at Fort Silk, Oklahoma. Following his military service, he served in the United States Government, Department of Defense at the United States Embassy in Baghdad. Among Staff Sgt James Kelley Webb Jr.s’ many accomplishments were his Commendation Medal, Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbons and Certificate of Commendation Individual Award. His greatest accomplishment was his family, he was a doting father and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his mother, Brenda K. Webb of Lima; three children, Joshua (Christin) Webb of Raleigh, NC, Brittany Webb of Carver, MA and Jessica Webb of Franklin, OH; four grandchildren, Brendon, Joseph, Savannah and Nevaeh; brother, Dana (Audrea) Webb of Spring Hill, TN; two sisters, Gina (Timothy) Haller of Lima, Lora Webb of Lima and many nieces nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Rev. James Kelley Webb Sr.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Brother Dickie McKeever and Rev. William Wolford will officiate the service. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 10, prior to the service at the funeral home.
