James “Jim” D. Musselman, age 88, passed away August 14, 2021, at 9:15 pm, at the Lost Creek Care Center. Jim was born March 22, 1933, in Lima, OH, to Leslie and Ruth (Boroff) Musselman who preceded him in death. On July 17, 1955, he married Luella I. (Brown) Musselman who preceded him in death on October 21, 2008.
Jim was a 1952 graduate of Lima Central High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. Jim had worked at Scot Lad Foods for more than 30 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of the VFW #1275 and the Eagles Aerie #370. Jim loved woodworking and gardening.
Jim is survived by a daughter, Kaylon (William) Lybold of Van Wert, OH and a son, Larry Musselman of Beavercreek, OH, 2 grandchildren: Ashley (Tim) Knauss and Lindsey Lybold, 2 great grandchildren: Weston and Everett Knauss, 3 sisters: Nancy Stoner of Lima, OH, Mary Snider of Wapakoneta, OH and Gerry Williams of Lima, OH. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Lybold.
There will be a funeral service held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. A private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Friends may call on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of the service at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
