My dad was a loving father and husband and, I remember he could always keep people laughing, and happy, every year he would take us on vacation and we always had fun with him and mom. I will always have the memories of saturday morning at our house having the neighbors over for coffee and doughnuts, my dad would go get doughnuts and the neighbors would come over for saturday morning visits with coffee and doughnuts, my mom and dad had a lot of friends, they both were always their for everyone including my brother bob and me, I know my dad has joined my mom in heaven they really loved each other so much, God bless them both, I miss them both, so much... I was privileged to know Jack for several years as he lived next door to my mother. When I would be in Lima for a visit, I often walked over to chat with him or joined him under the shade tree in the comfort of a lawn chair. I enjoyed our gossiping about current events, talking about the Reds, and checking out all of the tomatoes he had in the garden. Jack sure had a green thumb for growing those! As a funeral director, we occasionally talked about my line of work. I shared with him how I appreciated all the personal time he volunteered honoring his fellow veterans who had passed on and for his service to our country. I was glad to know Jack and I will miss him. My deepest sympathies to all of his family.
