Ida M. Hardwick, 88, passed on away March 15, 2022, at 12:45 am, at Lost Creek Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Ida was born August 30, 1933 in Bell County, KY, to Thomas “Ab” and Stella (Williams) Wilkerson who both preceded her in death. On January 30, 1942 she married Paul Hardwick who preceded her in death on August 11, 2021.
Ida attended Lima Central High School. She worked as a cashier at A & P Grocery Store and later at Ray’s Market. Ida was best known as a homemaker and a proud mother of four. Ida and her husband have been active members at Trinity Wesleyan Church since 1952. She was also a member at the Lima Eagles #370.
Ida is survived by her children, Richard “Rick” (Elaine) Hardwick of Lima, OH, Julie (Mike) Newkirk of Cocoa, FL, siblings, Mike Wilkerson of Grand Rapids, MI, son-in-law, Lloyd Hight of Lima, OH, sister-in-law, Joyce Wilkerson of Lowell, MI, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her children, Sharon Hight, Stephen “Steve” Hardwick, siblings, Bob Wilkerson, Catherine Carter and Betty Cramer.
Funeral Services will be held March 19, 2022 at 10:30 am at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, EASTSIDE. Rev. Glenn Rader to officiate the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be held on March 18, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
