Herman Leroy Zimmerman, Jr., 54 of Lima, passed away May 6, 2021, at Lima Memorial Health System.

Leroy was born February 18, 1967 in Lima, to Herman Leroy, Sr. and Sandra (Glasco) Zimmerman, who preceded him in death.

Leroy attended Lima Senior High School and worked as an independent contractor. He had a huge heart and his door was always open; he was larger than life. Leroy loved his family and friends and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Leroy is survived by his children, Windy (Larry Shoemaker Jr.) Zimmerman, Eric (Mahala Hawkins) Zimmerman, Paul Zimmerman, Ashley (Max) Dziengelewski, Sandy “Moe” (Billy Bowling) Zimmerman, Wilhemina Zimmerman and Corbin Green; 9 grandchildren; sisters, Cindy (Colin Melson) Zimmerman, Cherie (Jeff) Yost and Christeen (Eric) Dietrich; brothers, Tommy (Katie) Zimmerman and Bucky (Sam) Zimmerman and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Aiden Zimmerman.

No services will be held at this time.
