Henrietta R. Lewis, age 93, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.

Henrietta was born on April 21, 1926 in Marion, OH, to Frederick C. and Helen (Dane) Hilyard, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 18, 1944 she married James Roger Lewis Sr. who preceded her in death in 2001.

Henrietta was an amazing woman who touched the lives of many. She was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, Lima where she made many long-lasting friendships. She was a dedicated homemaker and took pride in building and raising her family. She was a legendary baker and cook; her children never knew to eat fast food. She loved to clean, and took great pride in finishing a job well done. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. Nothing made her heart soar like it did when she would hear her children sing and enjoy fellowship together. Henrietta was an exceptional woman and she will be sorely missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Survivors include: children, Carol Atwood, James (Rebeccah) Lewis Jr., Diana (Ron) Smith, and Debra (Dana) Bowman, son-in-law, Richard Glick; sister-in-law, Martha Hilyard; several nieces and nephews, as well as many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents, Frederick and Helen Hilyard; spouse, James R. Lewis Sr.; children, Thomas Lewis and Bonnie Glick; son-in-law, Daniel Atwood; as well as siblings and siblings-in-law, Lloyd Hilyard and Lovetta (Vernon) Lowe.

A private service will be held at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES.

Pastor James Lewis Jr. will officiate the service along with help from Pastor Ed Jerrells.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
