Helen M. Brown, 98, of Lima, passed away at 8:25 AM on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Vancrest of Ada.

She was born on December 24, 1922 in Lima to William R. and Verna (Parsons) Rohrer, who both preceded her in death. On March 21, 1943, she married James Orren Brown, who preceded her in death on April 16, 2003.

Helen was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Women’s Society and the “Noodle Makers” and helped develop the children’s pre-school programs. She had worked as a registered nurse for John Albertson, MD and as a private duty nurse.

She had been a 4H Advisor. She enjoyed square dancing in the Hix and Chix, sewing and doing word search puzzles.

Surviving are her son James Allen (Shelley) Brown of Appleton, WI; her daughter Marcia Ellen Repp of Alger; her son-in-law Leslie Dunlap of Alger; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Cassandra Marie Dunlap and her sister Ruth McPheron.

According to Helen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or The Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Helen.

The family would like to thank Vancrest and Bridge Hospice for all their compassion and loving care.
