Harry Clay, age 83, passed away at 4:19 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the Lost Creek Care Center in Lima.

Harry was born November 5, 1938 in Logan, WV, to the late Henry and Lavada Josephine “Josie” (Blevins) Clay. On October 20, 1956 he married Dorthie Gene (Gillette) Clay who preceded him in death on August 7, 2012.

Harry attended school in Lima. He retired from the Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant, with over 40 years of service. Harry especially loved to travel with his wife, Dorthie, enjoyed to fish and was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by a son, Rudy G. Clay of Toledo; three sisters, Mary Lindeman of Lima, Nellie Lamb of Cairo and Pat Gibbons of Elida; sister-in-law, Dee Clay of Lima and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents and wife he is preceded in death by a son, Randall J. Clay; six brothers, Darrell (Nell) Clay, Raymond Clay, Herbert (Clara) Clay, Harold Clay, Billy Joe Clay and Louis Clay, Jr.; four sisters, Olga (Fred) Accord, Charolette (Bill) May, Kathleen Clay, Juanita Clay and three brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lindeman, Gerald Lamb and Jin Gibbons.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2021, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Pastor Roger Darrell Clay will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, prior to the service at the funeral home.
