Harold “Dean” Slusher, age 52, passed away December 15, 2021, at 5:19 am, at the Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center. Dean was born September 1, 1969, in Lima, OH, to Dwane and Sylvia (Goodin) Slusher who preceded him in death.
Dean was a 1987 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He had a self-employed lawn maintenance business under the name of The Ohio Grass Man until his health prevented him from working. Dean was an avid deer hunter, loved golfing and shooting pool. He was a true outdoorsman and he loved his Kentucky Wildcats.
Dean is survived by a brother, Donald (Barbara) Slusher of Temperance, MI and a sister,Trish (Les) Plaugher of Harrod, OH, a son, Gavin Hamlin of Lima, OH and his fiance, Mary Pohlman of Lima, OH. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Slusher.
There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Lima Missionary Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Rev. Terry Brock. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery following the service.
Friends may visit on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL and then again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Church.
