Gerald P. “Jerry” Carroll, 58, of Lima passed away at 5:13 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

He was born on October 26, 1963 in Lima to Berlie Everett Carroll, who preceded him in death and Patricia Jean (Eggerman) Bodine, who survives in Lima.

Jerry was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and the Eagle’s Aerie 370, Lima. He enjoyed putting model semi trucks together and was a Ford truck fan.

Surviving in addition to his mother Patricia Jean Bodine of Lima are his siblings Bessie (Josh) Hawk of Montpelier, IN, Shannon (Ric) Wright of Columbus Grove, Sam (Christy) Bodine of Lima and Bill (Dawn) Bodine of Lima; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two step-brothers.

He was preceded in death by his father Berlie Everett Carroll; his step-father John S. Bodine, Sr.; his sister Beckie Stipes and two step-brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

Fr. Mike Sergi will officiate the service.

Interment in Ward Cemetery will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
