Georgia Lee McFadden, age 98, passed away August 12, 2021, at 2:30 pm, at CareCore in Lima.

Georgia was born May 24, 1923 in Caruthersville, MO, to Early Anderson and Blanche (Wilson) Anderson, both of whom preceded her in death. Later in life on January 5, 1948, she married her beloved husband, Joseph E. McFadden; who preceded her in death on September 21, 2009. She was an amazing homemaker, and took great pride in caring for her loved ones. In recent years, she became a member of Second Baptist Church, where she greatly enjoyed attending and sharing in fellowship with her church community. She had a passion for evangelism and was the former District Missionary for the Springfield District of the Church of God in Christ. As a gifted pianist, musicianship was one of her many talents and she passed this love of music down to her beloved family.

She enjoyed fishing in the great outdoors and she loved to sew. In her former years, she was a well known seamstress for many people in the Lima area. Her cooking was famous amongst her friends and family. She loved to feed and care for others, and was always the first to invite anyone into her home that may have needed help. She loved her family above all else, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Georgia was an exceptional woman, and will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by three of her children, Mary Bradley, Earl (Queen) McFadden, and La Donna (Alfred) Jones. Other survivors include: grandchildren; Lisa Bradley, Karen (Leo) Elliot, Norma Williams, Donna (Reggie) Jordan, Pilate (Elisa) Bradley, Kary Williams, Vanessa (Racky) Bass, Janice Williams, A. Lewis Jones II, Mya Jones, Brian Jones, as well as special friend, Gina Daughtry. She also leaves a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as too many beloved nieces and nephews to count, including Gwen (Roger) Wilson-Cobbs, Dorothy Jean, and Little Toney with whom she had a special relationship.

Preceded in death by: parents, Early and Blanche Anderson; spouse, Joseph E. McFadden; son, Anthony McFadden; daughter, Barbara Williams; siblings: Albert Wilson, Andrew Toney Wilson, Marvin Anderson, Gilbert “Doug” Anderson, Roy “Buddy” Anderson, Lucinda “Maggie” Jefferson, and Earlean Plair.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20th, at Second Baptist Church located at 520 W Spring St, Lima, OH.
Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward will officiate the service.
Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Public visitation will take place on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. immediately prior to the service, also at Second Baptist Church.
