Geneva E. Ditto, age 90 of Lima, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 6:29 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System after a brief illness.

She was born March 17, 1933 in Pineville, KY, to Jacob and Florida (Partin) Money who preceded her in death. On August 20, 1979 she married Donald E. Ditto who survives.

Also surviving are her daughters: Pamela Beth (Gene) Orick Neely of Lima and Beverly Iris (Charles) Orick Conkle of Harrod; stepchildren: Zane Destry Ditto of Columbus Grove and Robin Lynn (Jeff) Ditto McElroy of Lima; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren She is also survived by one brother, Jerry Ralph Money of Harrogate, TN.

She is preceded in death by the two sisters and six brothers.

She graduated Bell County High School in 1951. She was a mother to her daughters and then became the first lady postal carrier in the area. She was a member of Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church where she was also a Sunday School teacher. She loved to garden, wired two homes, was an wonderful cook, baker and loved to travel. She and Don traveled all over Europe and she loved her family. She will be missed by many.

Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services with Revs. Terry Brock and Russ Stringfield to officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Friday at the Shawnee Chapel from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
