Frank H. Frost passed away Dec. 8, 2020 at 1:12 pm, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
Frank was born Apr. 26, 1925 in Lima, OH, to Rose and Frank Frost, Sr. who preceded him in death. Frank married Jeanette Ingrahm on Mar. 28, 1948 who preceded Frank in death on Dec. 28 2017. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Frost, and his brothers-in-law, Don Still and Odos Craig.
Frank attended South High School in Lima and graduated from Riverside High School in Decatur, AL. Frank received his commercial flight instructors license on his 18th birthday and served in the U.S. Aircorps. He taught aviation cadets to fly in Birmingham, AL. After his discharge, Frank was a mason contractor and in 1958 he took ownership of Fidelity Builder’s Supply in Lima.
Frank was a life member of Masonic Lodge 205, a 32 degree Mason and belonged to Antioch Shrine. Frank was a life member of the Elks Lodge BPOE 54, was a member of First Baptist Church, served on the Board of The Huntington Bank in Lima and was a past-president of Lima Rotary Club where he was also a Paul Harris Fellow. Frank was a member of the Brick Institute of America, a past board member at Shawnee Country Club, Lima, and belonged to Wilderness Country Club in Naples, FL.
Frank is survived by two sisters, Evelyn (Don) Still of Rotunda, FL and Rose Mary (Odos) Craig of Hume, OH who turned 100 this year. Also surviving are his two children: Greg A. (Ann) Frost of Naples, FL and Deborah Frost (Jeff) Casady of Lima, OH. Frank is survived by his three grandchildren: Robert (Jamie) Frost, David (Kelly) Frost and Morgan (Brendon) Gideon and seven great-grandchildren: Kayla Frost, Jacob Frost, Carson Frost, Lydia Frost, Hannah Gideon, William Gideon and Miles Gideon. Frank is also survived by a step granddaughter, Ashley Casaday and step great-grandchildren: Max Starkey and Regan Starkey.
Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements. Because of COVID-19 there will be no visitation. A private family burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
