Faye Ellen Frater, age 71, was called to her Heavenly Home at 4:52 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022, at Mercy Health – St.Rita’s Medical Center with her family by her side.

Faye was born October 18, 1950 in Mount Gilead, OH, to the late Zeno Mark and Ruth (Robinson) Fissel Sr.

Faye was a 1969 graduate of Kenton High School. She was a homemaker and was proud of her two boys and their families. Faye was affectionately known by her family and friends as “The Cat Lady”… MEOW!

She is survived by her two sons, Marty Ray (Melissa) Frater of Arlington, Christopher Lauren “Chris” (Nicky) Frater of Lima; two grandsons, Andrew Moneer of Findlay and Brandon Frater of Arlington; former husband, Raymond E. (Ruth) Frater of Toledo; brother, Jim Fissel of Huntsville, sister, Susan Lohrber of Kenton; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Fissel of Bellefontaine, Barbara Frater of Dunkirk; three brothers-in-law, Dwight Frater of Dunkirk, Keith Frater of Wharton, Tom (Alita) Frater of Bowling Green and her beloved cat, Alvin.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Mark Zeno Fissel,Jr., two brothers-in-law, Ross Lohrber, Robert “Bob” Frater; three sisters-in-law, Diane Fissel, Diane Frater and Lisa Frater.

Funeral services will begin at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m Saturday, January 29, prior to the service at the funeral home.
