Eveleen V. Crouch, age 84, passed away July 25, 2021, at 3:50 pm, The Springs of Lima. Eveleen was born June 3, 1937, in Hillsboro, OH, to Homer and Mary Elizabeth (Funk) Nichols who preceded her in death. On March 29, 1958, she married Edward Crouch who preceded her in death on May 5, 2016.
Eveleen was a 1955 graduate of Marshall High School. She spent her time as a homemaker and took great pride in raising her family. Eveleen was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church. She was a very good cook with her specialty being comfort food. Her children have fond memories of their mother teaching them skills in gardening and growing and canning their own foods.
Eveleen is survived by her children: Rickie Crouch of Crestline, OH, Connie (Mark) Gossard of Wapakoneta, OH, Debra Kistler of Lima, OH and Brenda (Randy) Gross of Wapakoneta, OH, 7 grandchildren: Stephanie (Oren) James, Matthew (Andrea) Gossard, Jennifer (Adam) Blevins, Jeanna (Wes) Weaver, Jessica (Dana) Jenkins, Rebecca (John) Wright and Rickie Crouch Jr., 7 great grandchildren: Jonah Volbert, Lillian Volbert, Ellis James, Carson Blevins, Cheyenne Blevins, Vivienne Weaver and Aria Weaver, with one great grandchild on the way, and a sister, Florence Nichols of Hillsboro, OH. She was preceded in death by her son in-law, Duane Kistler and a sister, Kathleen Taylor.
There will be a funeral service held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 10:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Pastor William Turner. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum following the service.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Open Door Baptist Church. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
