Emma R. “Bert” Cook, age 86, passed away at 12:00 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the Kessler Estates Senior Living Center.

Bert was born January 26, 1936 in Waynesfield, OH, to the late Benjamin Russell and Goldie (Lincolnfelter) Lhamon. On February 11, 1956 she married Larry “Joe” Cook who preceded her in death on December 2, 2020.

Bert was a graduate of Waynesfield High School. She was a devoted homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her 5 daughters, June Marie (Carlos “Yonncyn”) Roman, Sheryl (Doug) LaRue, Vicky (Lyle) Johnson, Karen “Marsha” Glick and Treva (Jerry “Skip”) Ream all of Lima, 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; sister, Leatha “Ann” (Dennis) Greer of TN and sister-in-law, Jenny Cook of Ada.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by son, Harry Thomas “Tim” Cook; daughter, Darla Jennings-Wilson; 3 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Faye Louise Coppler, Betty LaVonne and 3 brothers, Roy Lhamon, Berl Lhamon and Bob Lhamon.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
