Edward Bryan Beecher, 74, of Lima, passed away at 12:57 AM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at The Ohio State Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, Columbus.

He was born on October 30, 1947 in Lima to Edward and Charlotte (Wheeler) Beecher, who both preceded him in death. He had previously been married to Linda Wick, who survives. He married Joyce (Harshe) Fairburn Beecher on December 27, 1997, who survives in Lima.

Bryan was a member of Cridersville United Methodist Church, and was Christian who loved to talk about the Lord. He joined the Lima Fire Department on December 20, 1971 and retired as a Lieutenant on March 21, 1997. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 370, Lima and had his pilot’s license. He love to read and always had a book in his hand. He also loved his dogs Jake and Dusty.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife Joyce Fairburn Beecher are his sons Eric Beecher of Columbus, Ken (Andrea) Fairburn of Lima, Scott (Deb) Fairburn of Lima and Matt (Jill) Fairburn of Dayton; his daughter April Lavery of Deland, FL; his brothers Jeff (Anna) Beecher of Statesboro, GA and Greg (Brenda) Beecher of Marysville; his grandchildren Brandon (April) and Ian Lavery, Nicole, Trent, Ian, Isaac, Olivia, Jared and Ella Fairburn; his great-grandchildren Cora and Kirra Lavery; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, January 10, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the service at 1:30 PM.

Pastor Thomas Miller will officiate the service.

Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum, where military honors will be performed by active duty members of the USAir Force.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
