Duane Jason Allison, age 35, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

Duane was born October 2, 1986 in Lima, OH, to Darry J. and Beatrice K. (Davis) Allison. On May 3, 2013 he married Heather M. (Burchett) Allison.

Duane was a 2005 graduate of Elida High School. He had previously worked at Burgundy’s Restaurant, where he met the love of his life, Heather and developed his love for cooking. Duane was an excellent cook and had a passion for helping others in need by giving of himself and his food. Together with his business partner, Demetrius, he owned and operated the Bobby Cue Grill and most recently he was building a new food truck, D & D Fish and Chicken. Duane was a do it yourselfer and was always working on projects to please his wife around the house. He was very family and friend oriented and he especially loved attending his kids sporting events. He was currently employed by the Allen Oakwood Correctional Institute and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Darry J. and Beatrice K. Allison of Lima; his wife of eight years, Heather M. Allison of Lima; three children, Kayleigh J. Allison of Shallotte, NC; Alydia M. Allison and Dalyn J. Allison both of Lima; brother, Daryl J. (Shannon) Allison of Sandusky; sister, Deana J. (Nathan Stanley) Allison of Lima; grandmother, Bertha Allison of Gary, IN; mother-in-law, Kim Shaffer of Lima; father-in-law, Rod (Michelle) Burchett of Lima; sister-in-law, Amanda Burchett of Lima; brother-in-law, Noah (Hope) Burchett of Lima; nieces and nephews, Dasia J. Allison of Sandusky, Kyran Johnson, Kadyn Johnson, Lasyn Barnes and Logan Burchett all of Lima; special cousins, Arthur D. Allison and Reginald J. Allison both of Gary, IN and special cousin and business partner, Demetrius “Meat” Upshaw of Lima.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur Allison; grandparents Cleotha “O.C.” and Bessie Davis; uncle and aunt, Arthur and Linda Allison and father-in-law, Gordon Shaffer.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Pastor Paul Engle will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, October, 25, and from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October, 26 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to go towards his children’s education.
