He was the president of the Austin/Plummer family reunion for 15 years. He was the National Softball Association State Director for many years and had a deep love of the sport. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, The Cleveland Indians, The Cincinnati Reds, and was practically a fan of any Ohio sports team. His greatest passion was listening to music of all genres, and he especially loved to listen to classic rock and blues. He collected N scale model trains, and found great joy sharing this hobby with his family. He was famous for his sharp mind and great sense of humor.
