Dorothy Miller Harris, 86, formally from Lima, passed away at 1:55 am on March 25, 2022 at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center. Dorothy had been living at the Greens LCH in Lima since October 2021.

She was born February 21, 1936 in Lima, Ohio to Carl E. and Eleanor (Davis) Miller who preceded her in death. She married James A.Harris in 1968 and moved to Marion where James survives.

Dorothy graduated from Lima South in 1954. Upon graduation she started her working career at Prudential Insurance. After marriage and moving to Marion, she worked as Executive Secretary at Tecumseh and then worked doing resumes for PIC. Throughout her life she loved music and played the Organ and Piano for over 25 years at Fite Memorial Church and various other churches in Marion and Lima. She loved gardening, spending time in her yard doing yard work. Dorothy always loved animals and over the years had many dogs and cats which she adored.

Survivors include Sister, Carolyn “Ducky” (Dick) Allen of Lima, Brother-in-law, Roger Wright of Lima and several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by Sister, Marilyn Wright.

Private family graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
