Donna McPheron, age 86, was reunited with her husband, Paul “Pete” McPheron, on Sunday, January 8, 2023, when she peacefully passed away at VanCrest Nursing Home, Delphos.
Donna and Pete were married 66 years and raised two children, Kim Evans, who preceded her in death on November 24, 2007 and Jeffrey McPheron, who survives in Troy, OH.
She was born on May 14, 1936 to the late Lee and Henrietta (McKanna) Robinson. Donna was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Robinson and Donald (Jackie) Robinson as well as her brother-in-law Wes Shankland.
Donna spent most of her life as a homemaker and she loved taking care of her family. She also enjoyed cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and taking walks around the village of Elida. On summer nights, she could be found listening to Marty and Joe call the Cincinnati Reds games, while rocking in her chair in the garage. She rarely missed Jeopardy or listening to Rush Limbaugh and Paul Harvey.
Donna is survived by her four grandchildren who will miss her very much. She always worried about them and would often slip them twenties to make sure they had everything they needed. Her four grandchildren are Greg (Tina) Evans and Jenny (Ben) Frail, both of Lima, Matthew (Alexandra) McPheron of Centerville, OH and Emily (Ryan Sanders) McPheron of Lexington, SC. She is also survived by her four great-grandchildren Mason, Olivia, Rosalee and Caroline; her sisters Marilyn Shankland and Janie DeMarco and her sister-in-law Marianne Robinson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 699 Sunnydale Ave., Elida, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Interment will immediately follow the service in Osborn Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
