Donna Jean Bayliff, age 87, of Lima, went into the arms of Jesus with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at 2:05 a.m., at her residence.

She was born Aug. 4, 1934 in Waynesfield, to Ralph and Vondale (Lokey) Gross who preceded her in death. On Jan. 22, 1953 she married Marvin Bayliff who preceded her in death on June 5, 2019.

Her family includes: Pastor Mark (Dinah) Bayliff of Lima, Jeffrey (Tonya) Bayliff of Lock Haven, PA, Lisa (Gary) Tidd of Lima, Julie (Tim) Closson of Bluffton; Grandchildren: Nathan (Sarah) Bayliff, Joseph (Mandy) Bayliff, Karily Bayliff, Janna Cantu, Bethany Vester, Brad Bayliff, Dana Hiyahneh, Zack Hiyahneh, Jared (Jeannie) Tidd, Tyler Closson, Shellie Closson, Katie Closson, and Kelsie (Ben) Blain; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a beloved sister-in-law, Flora Sue Spicer of Waynesfield.

Donna is also preceded in death by a son, Stephen Bayliff, a sister, Sally Snay and two brothers-in-law, Ethan Bayliff and Wilbur Spicer.

She retired from Block Insurance, Waynesfield, after 25 years and then worked at the Waynesfield Public Library for five years. She was a member and attended Union Chapel Missionary Church. She loved working in her rose garden, reading and spending time with her family. Two of her many highlights in her life were hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas for her family. She enjoyed her Saturday morning breakfasts at Cracker Barrel. She was a 1952 graduate of Waynesfield High School.

A private Memorial Service for her immediate family will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday at Union Chapel Missionary Church with sons Mark and Jeff Bayliff officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery following the service. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to Union Chapel Missionary Church.
