Donna Augsburger, 91, of Bluffton, passed away peacefully in Bridge Hospice at the Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay on Monday, August 31, 2020. She was surrounded by family who kept a loving vigil at her bedside.
Donna’s commitment to family, her faith, and sense of responsibility were evident throughout her life, and her children and grandchildren have all been deeply affected by her example. For all of us, she has been a tremendous source of strength and guidance. We will miss her smile and laughter.
Born November 29, 1928 to Franklin and Dessie (Radabaugh) McCullough, Donna grew up in the Gilboa area. After graduating from Pandora High School in 1947, Donna attended Warner’s Beauty College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, married Clyde Augsburger in 1948, and worked as a hair dresser and later as a secretary at Hercules Tire, before dedicating her life to being a homemaker and the right hand to her husband on the family farm.
She raised her family on the farm, working long hours and providing a life of opportunities to teach her children the value of hard work. Donna was an exceptional cook and blessed many with her award-winning brownies and many other specialties. She was always supportive of her children and their activities, served in many roles at the Mt. Cory United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Friendly Fellowship class.
