Donald K. Phillips, 85, passed away at 1:25 am November 5, 2018 at Kindred Hospital.

He was born October 11, 1933 in Lima to Iven “Glenn” and Gladys L. (Campbell) Phillips who preceded him in death. On July 20, 1956 he married Joyce E. McKillip who survives in Cridersville. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage.

Don retired in 2004 as an assembly worker for Ford Lima Engine Plant after 13 years service. He had also worked for Randall Bearings for 14 years. He was an US Army veteran during the Korean Conflict, a member of VFW 1275, American Legion 96, Korean War Veterans Johnny Johnson 115, and the Eagles 370. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan.

Survivors include: a Son, Mark D. (Pamela) Phillips of Cridersville; 3 Daughters, Kelli K. (Terry Wooddell) Phillips of Lima, Stacy J. (Dion) Bower of Lima, Julie A. Fegley of Convoy; 7 Grandchildren – Jeremy Phillips, Cory (Lisa) Phillips, Jason Goedde, Eric (Haley) Phillips, Sean Phillips, Alyssa Fegley, Emily Fegley; 7 Great-Grandchildren – Austin, Braylon, Kaylin, Haven, Adalynn, Cavence, Londyn; 4 Step-Great-Grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Blake, Allie; a Sister, Glenna L. Kimmel of Lima; a Brother-in-law, Robert Gibson of Buckland.

He was preceded in death by: a Son, Steven C. Phillips; 2 Brothers, Berman “Ben” (Karmen) Phillips, Richard D. (Margaret) Phillips; 2 Sisters, Betty Gibson, Peggy (Charles) Hawkins; a Brother-in-law, Gene Kimmel

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday and from 10:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am Friday at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by VFW 1275 and the US Army.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Local Relay for Life.
